Nick Krsnich, President & Portfolio Manager 

Mr. Krsnich has 25 years of Financial Service Experience concentrated in investment and risk management.  JMN Financial LLC was formed in 2006 to provide portfolio management and consultation to Financial Institutions and investors.  JMN currently has over $160 million in funds under management and has consulted for some of the industry’s premier financial services companies and private equity firms.  Mr. Krsnich authored “Residential Mortgage Investment, Valuation and Risk Management”. (See Publications).  Mr. Krsnich served as Chief Investment Officer for Countrywide Financial Corporation and as a Board Member of Countrywide Bank, his last positions in tenure from 1995 to 2005. During that span Countrywide’s market price increased four fold and its investment and risk management functions were considered the industry’s best. 

 

Previously Mr. Krsnich was Head of Capital Markets at Bank of America Mortgage.  He was responsible for all fixed income market purchases and sales, risk management activities, and was a member of the investment, credit, and executive committees.

 

Prior to entering the financial services industry Mr. Krsnich was a minor league baseball player in the Baltimore Orioles and Detroit Tigers organizations.  He graduated with  a MBA in Finance from the University of Florida in 1983, and was a member of the Southeastern Conference All Academic Team.  Mr. Krsnich is a Certified Financial Planner and Registered Investment Advisor.  Mr. Krsnich and his wife Linda and three children reside in Calabasas, California.

Mark Monahan, Portfolio Manager

Mr. Mark Monahan, CFA, has 17 years of Financial Services experience concentrated in Asset/Liability management, portfolio valuation, and derivative valuation.  Prior to JMN, Mr. Monahan was an Executive Vice President - Asset/Liability Management at Countrywide Financial Corporation (CFC).  In his role, Mr. Monahan valued all of  CFC balance sheet assets and liabilities and was instrumental in the building of financial models supporting valuation and corporate risk management strategies. 

 

Previously, Mr. Monahan spent  8 years as a Vice President/Client Services Manager at Quantitative Risk Management, a financial software engineering firm located  in Chicago, IL where he was dedicated to the development of the Mortgage Servicing Evaluation System.   

 

Mr. Monahan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree - Finance from Bentley College (1991). 

 

Currently, Mr. Monahan resides in Calabasas, California with his wife and two children.
